radiator hose size 444-544 1965

Hello all. I am going to have a radiator made up and want to know the top and bottom hose size of a 1962 544. The S10 engine is is 1-5/16" inlet hose and 1-9/16" outlet hose.
Will probably have to use dual size hoses or have the radiator made to match the S10 engine.

Thanks
Ray J.

With a new engine from the S10 the Volvo sizes and positions are irrelevant. For size the rad needs to fit the space without it clashing with the hinges. There are of course 2 styles of these. Alternator positioning can cause problems with both of these. The capacity needs to cool the engine regardless of local ambient conditions. 80 mph across Death Valley at noon for example. Hose size and positioning can be selected for the neatest and most convenient layout. It may need to be custom but many alternate engines have gone into the PV.

The hose position is good using a B18 radiator to the S10 engine.
I am going to buy an aluminum radiator and will have the inlet and outlet changed to match the S10 sizes.

Thanks
Ray J.
