radiator for my 544 444-544 1961

I have agonized over cooling my S10 2.5L engine that is in my 544. I have looked at radiator specs for far too long. How do people who install B230's cool that engine ?

Will B18 radiator cool it using an electric fan ?

Will an after market aluminum B18 radiator cool it any better using an electric fan ?

A 1965 Mustang radiator is close but is 21-1/2" tall and would probably hit the hood brace when closed.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Ray J.

Try Day Motor Sports catalog they have Afco rads and about $150.00, I can't look at mine it's asleep, you can call them also tell what you want, I got the Ford style because the bottom outlet was on the same side as the Volvo.
mine was almost a bolt in

I ended up buying an aluminum 3 core radiator for the Amazon, P1800 and 140.
Looked up the part number for all 4 models and it was the same except for the later P1800.

Best to all.

I hope you have checked the measurements as AFAIK the PV rad is not compatible with the other Volvo models. The late 1800 rad is only different due to the change of fan type along with being mounted a little further forward. You have still left yourself with the hose size mismatch.

I will have the outlet changed to match the engines outlet.
1" is kind of small but the inlet is 1" to 1-1/4" so I think I can leave it alone.
The radiator shop will let me know if the inlet needs to be changed.

Best

Ray J.
