Hi,
Does anyone have a photo or can tell me which way the brass three-way union that attaches to the end of the master cylinder is supposed to be installed?
Two of the fittings on the three-way union are closer to each other and kind of joined together at a 45 degree angle. The third is a bit longer and angles a bit differently.

I am wondering which way it should be facing and if the longer fitting should be attached to the metal brake line that runs to the rear axle.

Can't see a picture. It sounds as if you are describing the junction that is fitted to the rear axle. Either that or the item isn't Volvo but may still do its job perfectly.

There is a picture that I uploaded called "Three-Way Union" in the Gallery.

I have the B18 setup.
The brake fluid reservoir is mounted near the top of the firewall.


The three-way union is V. part # 87697. It attaches to the front of the Master Cylinder V. part # 663468.

The three-way union can attach to the the master cylinder two different ways.
The brake line that runs to the rear axle attaches at the top.

I hope this makes more sense.
