P210 Duett Frame Dimensions 444-544

I’m looking for some dimensional drawings of the P210 frame that would help me properly restore/rebuild a frame.

I have collected a lot of information on the PV and P1800, but the best information I have on the P210 relating to frame and body is an original Volvo parts manual. It only shows frame components, no dimensions.

I have a couple of basket case P210s that most would not consider restoring, but here in Ontario, Canada, I have only come across 3 P210s and for some reason, I must get one on the road.

I have one P210 with the rear 3/4 of the frame in repairable condition and have another frame, which appears to have a good engine cradle and front frame section (but really bad rear section). I would like to take the good parts from these two frames and make one good one. I think I can patch the frames together without specifications, but sure would be nice to have proper dimensions as reference.

Any information or direction would be greatly appreciated.

JimK

P210 Duett Frame Dimensions 444-544

There are body/frame repair manuals with all the frame specifications.

FYI, the 445 and P210 frames are different and I'm pretty sure we have both manuals with the specs for both.

P210 Duett Frame Dimensions 444-544

As far as i can tell from the VIN, my vehicles are around 1961 to 1965, the single round window, like the PV544.
I attempted to search your web for manuals, but could not find any. Can you provide a link?

Would like to see what your manuals cover and price.

Thanks

P210 Duett Frame Dimensions 444-544

We do have a Volvo manual that covers the frame of a P210 and it does have some dimensions for checking the frame.

The manual is dated 4/67 and has only 14 pages.

Let me try scanning it to see if I can make a legible copy.

FYI, P210 frames are slightly different between the B16 equipped and the B18 equipped versions.

1 obvious difference is the locations of the steering idler arm. B16 idler arms are mounted on the suspension crossmember, while the B18 idler arms are attached to the passenger side frame.
