After my over 2 year search I have the hood brace needed to convert my 1961 544 hood to a 1962 - 1965 style hood.

Thanks blindboy. I have been looking for a 1962 to 1965 hood brace for 2 to 3 years. The gentleman who had the hoods is drilling out the spot welds and is shipping to me. I never looked more than 400 miles from Arkansas and am grateful to you for the post.

My recollection is that the underpinnings of PV444 hood are different from the PV544. The hinge mechanism was improved for the 544.
