Facet Automotive Parts / Italy 900

Anyone have any experience with "Facet" brand electrical components? They are based in Italy, and claim to make everything they sell (not from China).
I want to buy an Oxygen Sensor from them for $58.00 delivered, which is less than half the price of a comparable Bosch part.
Anyone had experience with this brand?

    Hi,

Facet use to be a stand alone Italian company but now they are part of the Purolator company or the other way around. A matter of a merge of distribution points.
So it’s safe to say it’s a mixed bag company now.

I recently purchased a fuel pump for my RV generator made by Koehler in the mid eighties.
My local auto-electric store had one in his upstairs storage area stashed away.
The plastic packaging was yellow with age. It was an original Facet manufactured pump. He sold it to me for the old price of back when he had it down on the floor!

It works just like the original old one.
After tearing open the old pump I found that the diaphragm rotted away.
The way it was built, I think it has fifties parts and design in it.
It was really sturdy and simplified to last.
It hit me that I just replaced the pump with one that is not compatible with alcohol but that old one still worked for a long long time. So I feel it’s going to out last me and the Motorhome.
Besides how much fuel does a generator use anyway.
You can say I got what I paid for and did him a favor buying it.
They are more than $90 now, but they tout its electronic!

The company has always been innovative if you look up their history.

So with that, it’s probably ok as long as you like Italian electrics?
Probably better than Lucas ever was? (:-)

    Phil

Its common aftermarket cheap/midprize brand in europe.

Distributor otors, caps and engine sensors are okay. O2 sensor dunno but many people says just use original bosch because its long lasting and accurate.

      I tend to agree.
You get what you pay for.
Imagine my shock the last Bosch electronic part I bought showed it was not made in Germany, but rather some 3rd World country.
      Thanks for your input sir.

I just bought bosch o2 sensor its made in usa. Many brands will do in china or poland/russia. Bosch spark plugs are often made in russia.

I think good brand made in 3rd world country is still better than bad brand made in 3rd country :)
