Dear 95zombiekiller,
Hope you're well. The factory-installed fuel hose no longer is available. Fear not. When I brought my '93 940 to a mechanic for a state-required safety inspection, the mechanic showed me that the forward fuel filter banjo bolt had pin-holed.
I did not want to drive home with fuel being sprayed on the under-body. So, I asked the mechanic to replace the failed fitting and the hose, and - of course - the fuel filter. I provided the filter, copper seals, and the banjo bolts.
The mechanic replaced the fuel hose with a black nylon hose. He used a special pliers to press the hose onto the barbs at either end (fuel filter and fuel rail). While the hose looks "heat shrunk", it is not. For tools that will help, see: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/shop/hose-installation-tools~14-25-327-13460 .
The replacement hose does not have the rubber "armor" of the factory-original. It is routed the same as the factory-original so is well secured out of harm's way.
Any nylon fuel hose of the correct diameter - rated for fuel injection use - should be safe and serviceable. Run the hose through the factory-installed fuel line mounts. Use zip ties if additional "bracing" seems desirable.
Hope this helps.
Yours faithfully,
Spook
