'92 240 turn signals not working 200

My daughter's turn signals went out 2 days ago. I tried to find out information about them but was getting conflicting info and couldn't find a diagram for her year.

Turn signals not working at all. Hazards work fine. The #9 fuse is for signals and hazards, so that shouldn't be the issue. Are the hazards and turn signals routed through the same relay?

If so am I looking at a bad turn switch? When investigating it last night, was trying to check voltages at the terminals. Now seems like the high beam won't stay on. Is that using a switchable relay, or did the turn signal/high beam switch fail on us further?

Any insights are appreciated!

    Hi Dan,

Try the #5 fuse. Give it a spin if it doesn't look damaged. That's the fuse for the turn signals. Fuse 9 only powers the hazards because they must work without the key.

High beam does not stay on (latch) unless you have the headlight switch on and the ignition switch on.

Thanks Art will do! I didn't see the #5 reference on the fuse cover last night so I must've missed that.

One of my sons-in-law couldn't get adjusted to the driver's space in the 240 such that he would repeatedly just destroy the fuse panel cover getting out of the car. The labels are year-specific, so if something like that happened in the life of your daughter's car, the index of fuses may be misleading. Actually, even the correct-year fuse covers can be misleading, with erroneous backup from the owner's manual.
