1957 PV444 emergency brake drum levers. 444-544

Getting my 57 PV444 back on the road. Upon brake inspection, I found the rear drum emergency brake hardware missing. The levers and cross bar is missing along with the holding pins inside the rear drums. Anyone know the were about of emergency brake parts? The rear drum brake pads have a plunger in the middle of two brake shoes..

I'm pretty sure I have the parking brake levers and the links(cross bars) for that early style of brakes, but what are the "holding pins"?

If you are referring to the pins and clips that hold the brake shoes to the backing plate, this style of brakes doesn't use them. The brake shoes are retained by the adjusting bolts.

How are the emergency levers held onto the brake shoes ? I thought there was a pin. Mine are missing so I'm not sure about the assembly. I'll check my green book and remove the drum and check closer for what I'm missing. Have to move the car into the shop after I finish up with some other projects. I'll get back with you on missing parts needed.... Thanks !

The pins for the levers are attached to levers and are not removable so all you need are the levers, the retaining clips and the links.

Do you have the parking brake cable and the retaining clips that hold the outer sheath of the parking brake cable to the backing plate?

FYI, the retaining clips that hold the parking brake cable sheath to the backing plate can be problematic and I've only seen 1 that was in usable shape.

We've had to fabricate replacements more than once.
