Exciter alternator wire 900 1992

Where does the exciter wire go from the alternator? I assume under the dash to some connector. I'd like to test it for continuity.

Dear Calvin,

Hope you're well. If I recall correctly, the thin red wire goes from the alternator to the instrument cluster, specifically, to the charging system warning light bulb. This is the seventh from the left, next to the oil pressure light.
