1996 960 - E-Code Lights or Lenses

Folks,

Getting sick of my awful headlights on my '96 960 wagon. The lenses are all cracked and some of the adjusters are broken. If I am going to tear into the frontend to replace them, I am thinking about upgrading to a set of E-code lights. A couple of questions:

- Does anyone know of a good source or easy way to source a set of used lights from Europe?

- Alternatively, is it possible to buy just a set of E-code lenses and install them onto a set of US assemblies? I have seen this for 850s from the same era, but I haven't seen it done for a 960.

Thanks!
Brian

    1996 960 - E-Code Lights or Lenses 900

There are several members of the turbobricks site which sell and ship Volvo e-codes to the US. I would look there. I have e-codes in my 940 which were sourced new from Germany.

I also have knowledge that 850 e-code lenses will fit North American market 850 headlights. The e-code reflectors may be different. E-codes are legal in Canada, but I don't know if 95+ model year 960s sold in Canada were equipped with e-codes.

    I don't know if 960 e-codes require a different corner light, as the 740s and 940s do.

When I needed a replacement lens for an e-code I was able to get it from VP Autoparts in the US.
