Central Locking Switch Needed 700 1985

Anyone have one laying around? I can find it online but over $100. Here's a pic.

But I Thought 700 1985

The central locking switch is what triggers the other power locks? So if I install keyless, wouldn't only the drivers door lock? Since I'm having issues with the central locking switch. I installed keyless years ago but the brains died and I just never got around to fixing it.

My experience is with 240s. Someone else, ( probably Art ), can weigh in on the difference in your 740. You will have to ( go to a wrecking yard, or get one from a member, an electric locker for the driver door. Connect it with a coat hangar to the lock.
Then, all you do is tie in to the locking relays behind the dash. If you don't want to disassemble the door, you could still have the other three doors unlock remotely, which is way better than no remote lock at all.
Later, you could do the driver door, which is not too difficult, but it is time consuming.

Yes my 740 year is different than the 240. The central locking switch has a relay integral to the switch. Only 1 relay under the dash. I was able to jury rigged the switch(wasn't bad just worn) so far so good.

I have tried unsuccessfully to replace the deteriorated wiring in one of these switches. If you have a lot of patience and time, my hat is off to you. I have successfully installed remote door openers in 3 240s. The kits are available for about 50 bucks, and the installation will save wear and tear on the key portion of your old door locks. It is not that hard, and there are tutorials available here, and on youtube. Its nice to have that remote on a icy or rainy day.

I agree Dave, and even less than $50 if you're not in a hurry to do it this evening.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.
