Hi,
It sounds like your idle control motor has become disconnected or has failed.
The mileage is very low for than to happen and could be very dirty,
Lots of time is more the villain here.
Mileage really is not a good indicator or wear though, because it's the "numbers" of times the idle motor gets called upon to do its job that will be the punching ticket to hold on too!
Trust this as more of a measure of true wear. Same for the engines starter! Keep the car in good tune!
If you think about it, it is always being used, anytime you don't have your foot not requiring forward motion, it's working.
The biggest indication of a problem, with it, is when you first start the engine cold.
Your foot should always be off the pedal. Just turn the key and let the car do its thing.
You crank the car and it thumps through a few compression strokes and hits.
The engine springs to life and revs up past the normal idle point to something to overcome the coldness.
It then immediately drops back and should idle at 750 RPMS. The ECU does the work, not you!
The is from a normal, clean and healthy, IAC response.
Other issues with the throttle body being filthy or the throttle switch not clicking, to tell the ECU when then throttle plate is closed and opening, will cause the ECU not to respond to the idle speed commands.
A bad accordion hose behind the AMM or other air leakages is another issue of upsetting the other mixtures to the engine too.
Just seems you need to address some maintenance issues, with some TLC, to rule "in or out" the condition of the IAC motor.
Give the engine compartment a good smooching and the car will smile back at you, through your face in the rear view mirror!
It helps to be a little vain with this attitude!
Phil
