Turn signal relay buzzes, but relay is ok 200

Driving down the highway, signaling right or left, the turn signal would not flash.

The seatbelt warning light flickered

A buzzing sound came from the turn signal relay.

Hazard flashers are a-ok.

At home, I replaced the relay with one from another Volvo, and the problem persists!

    Hi Art!

    Yep, moisture has it ways!

Unless you can walk on water and not get your feet wet with rain or snow it too will pile up on the floor board. It might as well be a springboard connect to a swimming as waters disappears to many places out of site and mind until wipers, signals and power relays show their weaknesses.

Good call and puns on here, Art and I bet he is delighted, you answered! (:)

    Spin fuse 13.

Sign on on the side of the electrician’s van – “Let Us Get Rid of Your Shorts”.

At the electric company: "We would be delighted if you send in your bill. However, if you don't, you will be."

      “Spin fuse 13. “

That solved the problem, thank you!

We cleaned and applied dielectric grease to all of the fuses a couple months ago.

      I guess that wasn’t enough!

All the wiring ends up at the fuse panel, and so does any moisture from, say, a windshield leak. It really helped me to change the tin-colored fuses to copper or brass fuses, after thoroughly cleaning the panel, to keep the metal similar to that of the fuse holder contacts. The dielectric grease (or any grease) helps to exclude moisture, but isn't a perfect barrier.

Q: What is an electrician's favorite ice cream flavor?

        A: Shock-o-lot!
