2.1 -vs- 2.3 engine fuel pumps 200

Greetings All,

What is the difference between the late 70's through 1982 (some write ups say 1985) fuel pump -VS- the 1983 through 1993 fuel pump. I know that the early models have the actuator in the location where the fuel filter is on the later models and then on the early models the fuel filter is located in the engine bay area.
On the early models pump the nipple for the fuel exit is different than on the later models. The early years nipple has a side hole for fuel path.

The diff is not the engine size/years but the Engine Fuel Management System.

The K-Jet - mechanical constant Fuel Injection (aka KJet CI in the early FI)
The injectors are always Open and squirting fuel.

    The LH 2.0, 2.1 2.2 2.3 3...Electronic FI - the Injectors are powered--and are opened by a signal from the ECU...They PULSE.

The K-Jet Fuel Pump is a higher pressure pump.

The reason you see "up to 85" is that the Turbo used a K-Jet system in those years.
