Rear deck/shelf cover 200 1983

The car is an '83 240 GLT. Really good shape mechanically; needs a bit of attention to cosmetics. I am looking for a source for replacement covers for the rear deck/shelf for this car. Recommendations, especially for those that might have websites, much appreciated. Thanks.

I have seen someone on ebay that sells a replacement. You can always go to your local auto parts store and look for a roll of carpet. I've seen it at Auto Zone. It is just enough to do the rear shelf. If yours is just faded you can paint with SEM fabric/ interior paint. I painted one in an 88 240 I had once and it turned out great. Light coats of paint followed by gentle brushing and more paint then brushing.

eBay, salvage yards, iPd classifieds, maybe ask at the (requires account) Turbobricks.

Yet you are in the more civilized (versus the toilet midwest) PacNW. Used and salvaged Volvo abundance....

The rear hat shelf may include pre-cut holes for something like 5.25 or so speakers. If not destroyed.

Olympic peninsula hosts some salvage yards yet on the upper West Coast from Olympia up to Bellingham, and on the I-5 from Olympia to Vancouver and into Portland you may find salvage yards that post an online inventory.

You will want to ask Larry at his Rainbow Auto Service in beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Bellingham, WA. Nearly move there and was there this day six years ago.

    Rear hat shelf speaker ideas.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for aftermarket or OEM for the shelf itself, but decided to call my go-to for used Volvo parts in Seattle.

Just remove the hat shelf and cover it with what you choose in material. I once used the "carpet" that is sold as replacement material, but it was soon
to fall apart due to the heat and the sun. Just find something at the fabric store and do it your shelf...hehehe.
