Hi, Michael,
Yes, you are probably right because most of the business on that site are for people who like their cars fixed up, cleaned up and all DONE!
Even though it looks like this car may have more life in it, with some TLC, the car is all ready done in other ways.
I was just playing with the idea the car needs a battery in order to move it and consequently needs a .”trailer” to come by in order for it to be moved.
The “offerup.com site is just a real ... real long shot.
I just tried to buy a new Sachs complete clutch kit, according to the photos, on that site and I made an offer that was acceptable to the seller for $92.
It was all of the asking price he wanted including his $12.00 for shipping.
It had been listed for eight months according to the clock on the post.
I suspect he went to ship it and got told it was more than $12 to ship it only one fourth the way up the state of California. It’s not exactly light or postage really went up! IMO.
The site printed the label on the site for him to use. I don’t know how that works?
I gather for his amount with tracking. He had six days to ship it.
He just killed the deal by not shipping it and keeping it longer, for old time sakes!
Maybe those boys down in Georgia could go and get it for the parts?
I think it’s Voluparts.com or something like that in Atlanta?
Phil
