Intermediate shaft seal 1993 940 Regina

Hi all,
Replacing the from seals on 1993 940. Cam seal went in fine. Using toolset with existing bolt to push in. Shaft keeps turn. Any tricks to getting seal seated fully.
Thank you,
Joel

The intermediate shaft seal won't fight you that much. Thumb pressure would do to finish the installation. Be sure its flush with engine surface. Its a 1/2 minute job. The crank seal on the other hand could be challenging if just using thumbs.

As you indicate the intermediate shaft is freewheeling when it is not driving a distributor.

I would simply tap it into place working my way around the outer perimeter of the seal. A flat nosed tool and hammer. I have used a socket extension.

Perhaps a socket or a piece of pipe a bit smaller the the seal?

    Randy
