Front Cam Seals on ‘98 V90 S90-V90 1998

Hi!

Just wondering if there’s a special tool needed for the front cam seals on a ‘98 V90. Mine are leaking badly. I reckon I could just paint the gears to note the position, and then just unbolt them. Getting the seal in would require a socket to press it - anyone know about what size?

Just trying to get everything together for a seamless repair.

Thanks in advance!

No tool is needed to remove the seal but you might want to lock the rear cams to loosen the cam sprocket. Not sure if the 850's tool fits this car.

How is the PCV might be the caused for leaking seals.

I replaced the flame trap, but there is still smoke coming out of the dipstick. Is there an oil box attached to the block I should replace?

I noticed oil coming from the metal tube that connects to the head right in front of the exhaust manifold. Can I replace a gasket or o-ring there?

There is a PCV trap below the intake manifold and other piping.

Do a quick search on you tube, 850's are similar just opposite side.

The piping just below exhaust # 6 that runs towards the back end does have a seal at the block conection.
