Where did everyone go? 444-544

Is there a new/different forum or Facebook group for the PV car owners? Seems pretty quiet here on brick board these days. Thanks!

There are those of us that are working on our cars but do not post much.
I just finished installing the Ford Ranger rear end and shifted to my Morris Minor to tidy up a few things.

I am back on my 544 and back working on my 240 disc brake conversion. I have everything to do the 122 conversion but want a cheaper upgrade that has readily available parts.

Will update on this later.

Ray J.

I don't have a 544 at the moment, (just sold all 3 recently) but might get another some day. I too, had a Morris Minor, and restored it when I should have been working on my 122 project. Fortunately the MM sold and now the 122 is very close to being finished. My only connection with 544's, for now at least, is making new upholstery for them. I actually learned how to sew when I needed new upholstery for the Morris. My first encounter with a 544 was back in 1965 when I bought a brand-new one. I wish I'd kept it.

Definitely quiet, but if you have questions, there are still a few old-timers who may be able to help. You just may not get an instant response.
BB has been a terrific resource for a few decades.

I've never been on Facebook and Swedespeed just doesn't do it for me since I let my VCOA membership expire. MVS is a GREAT supporter of the Volvo hobby, but has more action with newer Volvos.

My $0.02? Brickboard has a lot of information on "stock" pre-1970 Volvos.
That's not to take away from the others. It just seems there's more old-school'ers around here.

There's not too many of us still around. I have a 65 544 and drive it guite often but haven't seen another in years.
IMHO you can't beat the simplicity, reliability and performance of the PV series. The only mod to mine is an overdrive tranny and IPD front sway bar which makes it great on the highway and good in the twistys.
Long live the Pv series Tom

Perhaps BB has solved everyone's problems and they are all enjoying clocking up the miles? Maybe not, but we all hope for long periods of reliability.

Where did everyone go? Maybe these forums? 444-544

Maybe users exclusive to the brickboard are in fine fettle, indeed?

A Google search for PV forums finds these forums.
