needing a front disc 120-130

Hello All
After retrieving two used rotors that I'd salvaged and thought had enough meat to use, it turns out that both are scrap - less than .410. I need one good used rotor thick enough to turn. I don't require a new or repro one less the hub. Please don't point me to people who you think might have one - only respond offline if you have one, condition and thickness, and what you want for it.

thanks much

Daniel

So it seems that no one's got a good used rotor.

Next question is what has anyone's experience been with the aftermarket rotors out there?

IPD sells one, as well as a genuine VOLVO rotor and the prices are WAY different.

I figure that I'd have to have a new one skimmed after I mate to the hub, based on run out. Probably also means new studs.

I'm looking for others' experience in dealing with this - did aftermarket rotors prove the wrong way to go, or has your experience been pretty much worry free?

    thanks

I've installed and used the aftermarket rotors, but the car hasn't seen all that many miles just yet.

      So far, so good.

Cameron, are your repro ones the ones which mimic the originals in one piece? These are available in the UK at a much more sensible price than the Volvo originals, £80 + VAT. I've had one in my hands and they look very good. I think I have one of mine which I think is warped after a major overheat due to a stuck calliper and might have to get a pair if I need to. Need to get a dial gauge on it and will look for a used replacement in the meantime.

Yes - sounds like the same one. I'll use them again.

So is this the one both of you are referring to? Is this a one piece hub and rotor machined together and not two pieces?

And Cameron, I am assuming that you replaced both fronts.
Would replacing only one (dissimilar materials) result in dissimilar braking, and thus the potential for pulling to one side?

Do either of you have any experience or knowledge about either of these separate rotors?

The ipd piece looks the same as what I've used, though I got mine from a different source.

I did replace both, though not for fear of dissimilar braking.

I've used Skandix rotors also and would do so again. They don't include the hubs, so there's a little more work involved, and it's easy to botch pressing studs in and out.

I don't know anything about the rotors shown in the second ebay link.

I have the use of a arbor press to separate them, no problem. My concern isn't pressing the studs in so much as having to turn them to correct runout after getting them together, which isn't necessary with the one piece - they're already true.
If you don't mind telling me, what was your source?
