84 GL stalled cleanly, no start 200 1983

Hello group,
1983 GL 150K miles. Non turbo.
While idling the engine just stalled cleanly and she won't restart, or even try to sputter. Just nothing but crank. I replaced the fuel pump relay and checked for power at ignition coil. Should I hear a hum, or some noise when I turn the key on? I hear nothing. I did find a disconnected blue plug near the ignition coil, but I don't know if it's always been disconnected. See photo. Thanks for any pointers on where else to look!

If the engine turns over too easily then it's probably the timing belt gone.

Hi,

You could try reading these posts that seems to have a lot of information on your year car for the same problem.

https://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1580606/220/240/260/280/troubleshooting_chrysler_ignition_83_245.html

The fellow Lucid (who has passed away) was pretty sharp on these earlier car especially the K-jet systems.
I believe yours is the First of the LH systems so they are called LH-1's.

Here is another sheet of information from another good fellow, Art Benstein and his web site.

Hope this get you headed in the right direction.
