Hi,

I have the cluster out to replace a gear and want to do the capacitor in the large clock. Does this use the same one as is used in the small clock ?

I've searched and found pictures of the small clock repair, but the dual caps look somewhat smaller than the single 100 uf 16 volt I'm looking at on mine.

I thought it best to ask before ordering.

Apparently there are two versions of the large clock. In any case, use the same value you find, though the voltage rating can be higher. Anything matching the capacity that will physically fit will work. The blue ones I used in these photos were pullouts from some other electronic junk -- they've been ticking through the last 15 winters.
