Fender attachment guidance 444-544 1962

My right front fender is loose along the rear edge where it bolts to the body in front of psngr door.
The car is in storage now so I can’t look at it to study, but I want to get parts ordered for spring.
I can’t find a good photo or video of how exactly the fenders are attached.
I see the kits online but don’t understand - where do the speed-nuts + special bolts go (vs. the other various sized screws/bolts)? Are the speed-nuts for those 4 points on that rear edge, or elsewhere on fender?
The numbers seem to work out, or should there be bolts mounted in there to attach to? Which washers?

Realized I mis-stated -
Meant to ask - “...or are there supposed to be NUTS welded in the four holes along body side where back edge of fender attaches?” Maybe mine are all rusted out(?) but just trying to visualize how things go together - hard to do without the car to actually look at!

Mine were also rusted out. I had to cut and weld a patch panel in with the nut already welded to the back side of the panel.

From what I remember on my 544, yes, those 4 bolts thread into some type of "weldnut" that's attached to the inside of the body.

Though hard to see, I believe you can access all four from the inside after removing the kick panel inside. I think there is enough roomsin case you had to use a washer and nut. Would need a helper though since your arms are probably not long enough to reach under the fender and inside the body.

I just happen to have a complete shell and the right front fender is loose, the nuts are welded to the main body and they are close to the edge.

Hey all-
Just cruising the board after a long absence. Does anyone happen to know what size and thread pitch those machined corner bolts are? The welded-on nuts on my fenders are in great shape, but the bolts that came with my mounting kit didn't fit when I tried to install them years ago. I suppose the problem could also be that the nuts were replaced with something non-standard in the intervening years, but I'd rather not pull the fenders off to find out if I can avoid it.
