Hi all! It's time to replace my steering rack, and I'm seeing prices all over the place, $140 to $500+. Any good sources out there?

      On Jorgensen. They have an excellent reputation here on the B.B. I suggest giving them serious consideration.

      Out of curiosity, what is going on with your rack?

        +1 on JorgenAuto.com. They did not have a replacement but did rebuild mine. Quick turnaround, and a year and a few months later, I'm still very happy with it. I have a 940.

        It's been leaking out of the driver's side bellows for months, but it's gotten much worse lately. If it wasn't winter I'd order a seal kit and rebuild it myself.

          Disclaimer: If it is leaking badly this may not work.

          If you haven't already, try flushing the PS fluid and replacing with the correct synthetic ATF for your rack. I did that on my 95 855 GLT and it stopped the leak! Be aware that it will probably leak worse initially but after a month or so the leak should dry up. Did have to repeat after about 2 years. Lot cheaper than replacing the rack though!
