940 missing hose? 900

Hello to all. I sold my much admired 91 240 wagon a year ago. Missed seeing a volvo in my garage. So, went out 2 weeks ago and purchased a very nice 940. Not a project car but there were a few fixes that came as a surprise. Easy enough to fix. However, I have a question regarding the intake to the throttle body. Should there be a hose connected to the input side of the air intake hose leading to the throttle body?? Cannot find anything in the Chilton manual. Have included 2 pixs. There is a small input port that is just hanging out there. Its a bendix/rex/regina setup. Any help much appreciated.

I know nothing about Regina. On my 740 LH2.2 that nipple connects to one side of the idle control valve.

There should be a label on the passenger fender desribing all the hoses.

Thinking back to our long gone 740 Regina....... Isn’t that nipple blocked off inside?
