Hello,
I have Aw 71 that is sitting in my garage about 4 years. When I pulled it out it was running well, synthetic Mobil 1 oil in it (I dropped it to put manual in the car). Now I need it to another car. Is it just "plug and play" or do I have to prepare it for back to life?
Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

Dear Robert,

Hope you're well. If the Mobil1 synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) has "low miles", i.e., 10K or less, I'd simply install it in the new car and go from there.

If the Mobil1 ATF has more than 10K miles, I'd spend the $100-120 and re-flush with fresh Mobil 1. This is cheap preventive maintenance. Why put at risk a tranny in good shape?
