Hello Brickboarders!

(I've searched but to no avail.) Can anyone point me to a place to purchase replacement parts for the 003 dizzy? I've just taken it apart, and it's missing a few of the fiber washers in the CA.

Seems like most of our favorite places don't get that granular with specific parts....

Any help much appreciated! -Jim

    Depending on what you are looking for, try GCP

    They used to sell the rebuild kit for the distributors (bushings and a bunch of other bits). Warning - their catalogue can be a bit of a challenge to navigate.

    In desperation, you could always ditch the Bosch and replace it with a new 123 distributor.

      Thanks! I sent you a PM.
      Looking for:
      main shaft fiber washer
      main shaft oring
      fiber washers for both weights (I don't see it on the exploded view, but swedish embassy talks about them...)
      advance springs - it looks like the low-rev spring is stretched. (That doesn't seem right)
      and little washer that goes under the top clip...

      (does this make sense?)

        PM not received, but I almost never get them from Brickboard.com for some reason.

        I have a new fiber washer that goes on end of the shaft by the drive flange and a new shaft o-ring, actually "D".

        I don't think the 003 used fiber washers under the advance weights, but I will double check by disassembling a 003 distributor over the weekend.

        If they are present, I think I have new ones.

        I might be able to get new advance springs, but I can't check until next week.

        There is supposed to be a small thin flat washer that goes under the small wire clip that retains the upper shaft and I might have a new 1, but I should find a used 1 when I take a 003 apart.

        Do you need a new felt pad that goes inside the opening under the rotor?

          Hi Eric,

          Thanks for the info - Absolutely no hurry here - this car is my super slow project. I do need the small washer under the wire clip, but do have the felt pad. Thanks again for your help -J
