Peak Coolant 900

Hi Folks,

Anybody use Peak coolant? Any reviews or comments?

My friend is concerned about having a less toxic coolant fluid in her brick.

    Dear MrNabisco,

Hope you're well. As used coolant can be - and should be - recycled, toxicity is only an issue should a radiator or heater hose rupture.

Coolant hose failure is foreseeable and so preventable: replace hoses at least every ten years, using Volvo brand hoses.

A longer hose change interval may be feasible, if the car lives where ambient temperatures are, on average, low (i.e., not in the U.S. South and Southwest; Southeast Asia, India, North and Central Africa, and Central and northern South Americ,a etc.

Thus, I'd stick with Volvo brand coolant.

    Hope this helps.

    Yours faithfully,

    Spook
