I just sold a '91 245 that was registered and had an inspection sticker, one owner for $70. All it needed was a power steering hard line and a driver's seat. The new owner fixed the line, put alloy wheels on it, and buffed it out, and drives it to work every day.
I just sold a '90 745 for $200 - this car was also registered and had an inspection sticker, and the girl that I got it from had just prepared the car for a trip across country, In the 2 years that it sat in my yard, the brakes froze up. The clear coat on the car was gone on the roof and hood. The new owner had new brakes and rotors installed (he is a service writer at my dealer) and cleaned it up and sold it for $600.
If the car is rust free and has a good finish you might get a couple of hundred for it. Good front seats would be a real selling point.
Have you put an ad and a photo on this board?
If you are leaving the car in your yard, wash and wax it and buy a cheap cover. Both cars above spent 2 years in my yard, but I did this and used a medium priced cover from Pep Boys - it was perforated blue non-woven fabric with a thin poly layer inside and out. It kept the cars as clean as when I washed them.
