AC unit pulley thing 900 1995

Hey folks, new to brickboard so if you can direct me to a better forum for posting my question, I'd appreciate the help. Anyway, I had a part just fall right off the AC compressor's pulley unit on my '95 940 the other day, looks like it needs a bolt to get it back on. My chilton's guide doesn't touch on anything to do with AC systems, probably because of the dangers of freon.
The part itself is the forwardmost piece of the clutch unit, comprised of a disc with three small cylinders arranged in a triangle on the outer face, i found it along with a couple of shims and I'm curious about what else may have fallen off that I couldn't find. Can someone point me toward a schematic diagram of the AC Compressor, or tell me how to figure out the size of the bolt to get it back on? Any relevant advice, warnings, whatever, I will humbly accept, as I have very little experience working on my car at this stage of the game. Thanks,
thekrome

AC unit pulley thing 900 1995

    Dear thekrome,

Hope you're well. The parts diagram in Volvo VADIS - a superseded dealer parts and service program - shows that a bolt and washer secure the clutch face plate. Unfortunately, the bolt nor washer are no longer available from Volvo.

There are four shims and a locking ring. These parts are part of a kit, also no longer available from Volvo

Thus, I think your best course is to get a replacement clutch - or possibly an entire compressor - from a salvage yard, or from a firm that rebuilds these compressors.

You should see, on your compressor's casing, a label with the following information: SEIKO SEIKI, SS121DS5 / VOLVO 6841207.

The updated Volvo part number for the entire compressor is: 36000820. U.S.-based Volvo dealers can supply this unit for about $700.00.

    Hope this helps.

    Yours faithfully,

    Spook
