Passenger’s Map Light Exposed Bulb 1800 1973

Concerning the map light above the passengers right knee.....

Is it supposed to be just a bare bulb in the socket or was there originally some sort of round lense or diffuser covering the bulb?

Sorry I couldn’t come up with any bigger problem today.

Is it a BA9S bulb as in my 122 ? I replaced mine with an LED bulb from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.COM

Eric and Julio, thanks for the info. Yes it’s a ba9s and I considered doing the LED thing. But I opted for the Batteries + offering (incandescent).

The website I indicated has an LED that gives off an incandescent looking light that is brighter.

I may end up going that way before I’m done. I just wanted to get something in there “now” in order to consider the wiring complete. I even considered LEDs for all of the instrument lighting but I would want a dimmer that I could fit into the original location, possibly with the original round knob on it. Haven’t found anything like that yet.
