Regina Cat. Converter on 1995 Bosch NA 940 900

Reading Spook's "940 Exhaust Engine" post below prompts a question I have had.
I bought a 1995 940 NA with a totally welded exhaust from the header pipe back. I suspect I will be replacing the cat. converter some time in the future since the car has relatively low miles and is in MN (salt state). I have a couple cat. converters from 740 and 940 Regina cars. I know the sensor in the 95 fits the Regina cat. converters (I tried it when I had the exhaust hanging loose while replacing the rear crank main seal).
Would the Regina cat. converter on the Bosch system be good enough handling emissions to keep the check engine light off? There are no emission checks in MN.
