wiper adjustment help 200

Hi,

Everything Trev said and I will add that both wiper should align parallel to the bottom of the windshield about “one inch” above the bottom of the glass.

Be careful when you pull up the nut cover as it is brittle plastic and can break easily from the clip point.
Make sure the wiper motor is in it’s normal “parked” position by running them pulled up and locked off from the windshield until it stops.
You can run the wipers while down on the glass if you put a half sheet of dry writing paper under the length of them. With a clean glass they should slide easily. I haven tried waxed paper or parchment but guess it may work too.

Depends on what you have lying around the house.

Good advice. If the cover does snap, don't run too long without it or else the next time you have to adjust the wiper arm the nut might be so corroded you'll regret it. By the way, it's better to run with a broken cover than none at all.

At the base of the wiper arm, lift the cover with a screwdriver to access the nut. Loosen the nut, reposition the wiper, then tighten nut, and flip the cover back over.

Popdaddy,

When I did this the first time, I too had them wrong as they went down instead of up.

All I did was disconnect at the motor and flip the connecting piece 180 degree's and then reattached. All was then well until the wire came off!

Hope this is what you are looking for. reply back if not.

Matt
