Everyone say Hi,
He wants, y'all!
I like the phrase Michael made. "The challenge is that "super clean inside and out" is subjective."
I believe you can have that same thought on most anything you consider buying.
A new car is super clean inside and out but they average cost inout at about $11,000 for an economy type of a car. You want a trunk? Forget about it! The glove compartments doors are optional.
New car fever or the considered "temporary insanity syndrome" is very subjective too!
I take two aspirins and go to bed!
This is car $500. Equal to what is paid out in the salvage yards. Then they make money off even trashed out car. I have seen some arrive in on a tow truck with wheels, so you are still even with a dead engine.
I would be very careful with the term blown head gasket. Weeping coolant is one thing but to an overheated engine and aluminum head is dangerous. Apparently it's not drivable but is road worthy since it was kept up with outside maintenance.
You said you have a stable for cars, so do I. I'm up to six and I think that is a round number to stop on.
Oh-so-how do I understand your dilemma but I try to spend more up front on the car right away. This way their more dependable so I can work less on them.
Keeping track of my fleet is fairly taxing when two rotate between separate 600 mile locations.
This is probably a k-jet system that I have one of but some extra components.
So, a clean body may mean the fuel system was kept up with clean fuel and that helps tremendously.
Trick is how long has it "set" around dead?
Are you a gambler with resources? If so, Nice! ):-)
$500 for a nice body and no engine is just what you might be buying though.
Are you looking towards turning this car over for profit? Then you will have to know best.
Is this a DL or the GL 244 body?
