1976-77 240 Seat Question-Need Advice 200 1976

1976 245.400K+ I want to replace the driver seat "skin" rather than use a "cover" but I don't want to pay a shop for a custom job. LSeat.com makes reasonably-priced real leather skins (although their customer service appears terrible) to fit 1986-93 seats. But I've read the 1986 and newer seats are a bit larger than mine. I don't know if 140 or 164 seats are more similar in size to those in my 1976. Has anyone "reskinned" a 1976 or 1977 car seat? Has anyone tried installing skins from a newer car on 1976 or 1977 seats? Any advice?
