Brake line Brand? 200 1990

Hi, Brickboarders,

So, I have one broken brake line. Thinking of replacing all the fronts now. My question is, what brand should I go with?

Thanks, Bork v.3

I’m sorry, I meant brake hose.

For a rubber hose fcp carries ATE brand for 9 each. Stainless is also an option.

I went with those! Even though they said for a BMW. The fitment worked for my 90 245. Didn’t think stainless was necessary. Thanks!

ATE flex brake line made in France is or was OEM on 240.

Hope the task was problem free. Rarely has it ever come apart without having to also replace a copper nickle brake line also.

a few years back I got a pair of Copper brake lines for the front when the old ones twisted while replacing the Strut which had failed at the Spring Cup (rust).

got them at the time from FCP. The short ones.

It it ain't broke---don't bother to replace the hard lines. the Orig...1990 - will last and last, Plus it will be a nightmare bending to fit the lines to come off that Brake Distrib in the front...If you decide to replace all the lines they just chuck that at get a new one. Goes for the rear too, if you can find one.

Do you live in a Salt the roads State... and have rust galore... otherwise no need.

The Flex lines are another story...easy.

If it's broken, just repair it. Volvo's copper-nickel alloy brake lines do nor rust out like conventional plated steel ones. If you do replace, make sure thit's the same material, not steel.

If you mean the hard line portion - junkyard for replacement. If you mean the flexible part -- heck, just having them new, compared to 30 years old, is a huge step forward. I'd say any place you can get them. I put stainless braided on mine from IPD.
