AC evaporator 142 or 144 140-160

Does anyone have a decent evaporator for a 142 or 144 for sale?

    You have a 73-74 car?

I guess you got the hoses replaced and the evaporator failed? I'd hate to be digging it out from under the dash. I cut the hoses off mine flush with the firewall, no idea if the evaporator in it is any good.

B20 Paul - Jim Perry posted this question for me. I have a 1971 142. The evap unit works, but the plastic housing is cracked and falling apart, and it only got worse when I had to drop it to get at the radio. So I'm looking for a structurally sound and cosmetically nice looking evap unit to replace it. Mine is a wide unit that fits where the glovebox is supposed to be. The other option is to ditch the AC unit and putting in a glove box, but it's working fine.
