Clean all the grounds put a new cap & rotor///

If you were not the owner 4 years ago, and you don't know why it quit running. Check for a broken timing belt. Remove oil cap and crank it, see if the cam is turning.

You already told us there's most likely no spark: "Sprayed ether no start"

Here's a method to track that issue down, if you haven't already found the distributor wires or other engine harness wiring gnawed on by the hungry rodents.

Once you get it firing on ether, you can pursue all the leads on fuel issues.

It's always darkest before dawn. So if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

Definitely change the fuel. If it is 4 year old gas it will not be good.

Also consider a new fuel filter and maybe some fuel gumming up in the lines/injectors. ???

Then do the basic test of no start from no fuel or no spark.

Check that both fuel pumps run jumping fuses in the procedure here. Should you hear them both.

Though sitting four years may suggest other causes preventing start such as ignition system fault.
