Resetting the Service Light on dash

This may have been ask a hundred times, I have to ask again.
The oil change etc is done but the Service Light still comes on but will go out about a 1/4 mile down the road.
How do I re-set the light?

Hi Dan,

Assuming the car is a '91 240, poke the reset on the front of the cluster very firmly with a thin tool like a kabob skewer or the innards of a cheap ball point pen. It has to move about 3/8" to work.
