    No tools required.

The gas pedal has 2 rubber sockets at its base and there are 2 ball headed studs attached to a removable bracket on the floor and there is a plastic loop on the back of the pedal that the metal pedal linkage slides through.

To remove the gas pedal, just pull firmly at the bottom of the gas pedal to remove the bottom of the pedal from the 2 ball studs and then slide the pedal off the metal pedal linkage.

      Thanks, Eric.

"Gee, if it's that simple, no wonder I couldn't figure it out."

After you pull the pedal, there is 2 bolts holding the bracket to the floor. I like to relocate that bracket backwards to give double the distance to the floor and bring the pedal level with a depressed brake pedal to make it easy to heel and toe and be more economical when cruising around. Also required for this mod is remove and adjust the angle on the piece that connects the pedal to the first link on the other side of the firewall. Easy on my RHD car, but I think the screws for that on a LHD car are behind the heater assembly? Worth looking at because the plastic pieces there would be due for replacement.
