hazard lights out 900 1994

Hello..
hazard lights and directionals have failed completely..
car was towed away w hazards on.. taillamp was smashed at some point afterwards.. replaced taillamp.. lights are good except still no hazard lights or directionals..fuses are good.. perhaps a relay?

    I just went through this on my 97 V90. The flasher is embedded into the hazard switch module in the dash. If you are deft, you can take it apart and replace the capacitor inside, or just buy one on ebay. They are NLA now but cost well over $100 when Volvo still had them.

    There is a repair how-ton Matthew's, I believe.

      all lights good except hazards and directionals..
      should have turned off hazards when car loaded onto tow vehicle!

    Dear lateshow,

    Hope you're well. Should I conclude that the reverse lamps (white) and running/brake lights (red) work normally?

    If so, that means power gets to the light clusters.

    The two lights that don't work - directional and hazards - have some things in common, chief among which is the switch on the left side of the steering column. It is possible that this switch has failed coincident with the damage to a tail lamp.

    Does the turn signal switch turn on high-beam headlights? Does cruise control - if installed - still work?

    So far as I know, there's no relay that governs operation of turn signals, etc.

      just bought a hazard relay and a turn signal relay from eeuroparts for about $6 apiece for my 94 940T wagon... going away for a week ..will install later and advise..Thank you!

        this site shows a hazard relay G in the upper diagram
        for a 94 940T wagon... my relays looks exactly like this...

        there was some scorching on one of the 3 prongs.. will advise if new relay solves things next week.. bless you all!
