I saw this on the local CL if anyone is interested:

    I looked at that ad--and got completely confused by the orientation of the throttle linkage--looks like the image is reversed. Anyone else see that?
    BTW-- I have one manifold and a number of carbs (both Weber and Holley) if anyone in my neck of the woods (Long Island) is interested. - Dave

      "...looks like the image is reversed...."

      Except that there's lettering on the carb that's readable.

        I did miss that - but couldn't really read it even after photoshopping the picture to highlight the lettering. I think what also confuses me is long link for the throttle--seems to be going in the wrong direction -- and too long if it is put the other way. Maybe an assortment of mismatched parts? -- Dave

          I couldn't raise the ad but it might be a marine manifold?

            derek uk wrote--"it might be a marine manifold?" The manifold in the ad is similar to the one I have available (not the same brand--but made for auto use with a 32/36) -- the mounting area (pivot point) for the cross shaft on both are on the firewall end of the manifold. The shaft may be placed in such a way for the photo so it isn't hanging out the far end (making storage more difficult too) but it seems rather long (at least for use in a 122 or 140 series--my memory of the setup for a 544 is not clear).
            I do have an actual B18/20 marine manifold. It mounts 2 single throat downdraft carbs (without digging it out of storage--Solex I think). Available for $30 plus shipping if anyone wants it. -- Dave -- ps--I think I may have too much time on my hands these days :-)

              Guys;

              Yeah...it's as simple as the seller having stuck the throttle rod out the wrong side of the support for the picture...it should look like this:

              Cheers

                  Don't forget we are talking about a B16 here. I've not seen the picture as the link doesn't want to work for me but I've never seen a Weber conversion on a B16 that is the same as the B19/20 types (Ron's pic). I would like to see the picture if anyone can help.

                    Derek;

                    The link works OK for me...seller has a "b-16 motor+B18 INTAKE+WEBER" posted... the intake and carb setup is indeed for a B18, and its not in an engine compartment, so it was easy to get the linkage in the wrong direction, and this caused the confusion...

                    Cheers

                      Hi Ron
                      Managed to get the add up. Agree that the rod is just attached to the manifold wrongly. My confusion was thinking that the Weber manifold was supposed to be for the B16 but I hadn't seen the ad.
