1997 Volvo 960 emisions vacuum leak 900 1997

My mechanic's OBDII reader indicates a vacuum leak in the emissons system. I'm having much trouble finding it. Check Engine light still comes on.

Did you figure it out?

What was the OBD code?

It is most likely a bad vent hose over the top of the tank. Take about 2 feet of 3/4 heater hose and put it in the filler pipe and stuff a rag around it to help seal it up and then while someone listens for the leak, blow into the hose. Be careful when you stop blowing as gas can come out the hose. If your car is a wagon, remove the small cover over the tank located on the drivers side just behind the rear seat. If your car is a sedan the small cover will be on the drivers side in the trunk.
