Seems like the cheap 271421 Starla exhaust kit is an under axle variety. Has anyone used one of these with an IPD rear sway bar? My car currently has a rotten exhaust system and the guy I hired to crawl around under there last weekend told me the current under axle pipe was going to interfere with the IPD rear bar I want to install.

Alternatively, anyone got the part number for the over-the-axle kit?

    so doesen't the old exhaust have an under axel pipe???
    you are being, as our Great White North friends would say....HOSED

    There is no problem with the IPD sways.
    And Starla is not a Cheap exhaust...it is one of the only exhausts available

      What CB says is true.

      The Volvo exhaust was also under the axle, until early last decade when they decided to consolidate parts shelf stock for the long out-of-production cars, using the over-axle pipe and resonator combo.

      The IPD bar has the same provision for the under-axle pipe as does the stock bar.
