Low brake pedal from bad wheel bearings? 200 1985

If the master cylinder, calipers and rotors are new, and no air is in the system, I understand that a low brake pedal only on the first application of brakes after travel on the highway can be caused by wheel wobble. I would like to understand this problem and how to repair it.

More likely old brake hoses. See my post in your original thread.

So, they are not releasing pressure, causing drag, causing heat, and bubbles resulting in low pedal. Is this correct?

The caliper drag was noticed when cold, after my install of new calipers and rotors. The pedal feels great when cold. Solid and right up where it feels right.

      So, brake hoses I guess.

Are these hard to replace? Expensive?

      Thanks.

I'm not sure what's meant by "wheel wobble" -- that is -- the wheel actually wobbling. A very loose wheel bearing could cause the the hub (along with the rotor, wheel and tire) to not run straight when side loads (cornering) are applied. That, and/or a warped rotor could cause the rotor to push each pad back slightly with each rotation. The increased clearance, pad to rotor, has to be taken up before the pads will do their job -- resulting in a low pedal until the clearance is a normal "just barely touching". -- Dave
