I'm on my 2nd OD Solenoid on the driver's side of the transmission and both have leaked ATF through the resin encapsulated electrical port. It's not the O-Rings or mating surfaces. Coming right out of the top under the rubber cover.
I'd like to NOT spend $$$ for an OEM unit, but this is getting old. Any ideas folks?

Hope you're well. I wonder if it is possible to lift the black plastic cap, so as to access the point where the wires exit the solenoid casing. If so, it might be possible: (a) to remove the failed "resin"; (b) to wash the area thoroughly with brake cleaner to remove any oily residue; and then (c) pack the area with JB Weld or another quality epoxy. That could cure the leak.

As you have two failed solenoids, one might be sacrified for this experiment. If it works, you've solved the problem at a low cost.

I got 1 off of Ebay for about $50 & I think its not leaking,,although I'll check it now..

I got one off eBay. No leak, but no work. Clicks and OD light goes on, but no OD.
Worked before. Let me think about this. OD or leak?

***UPDATE***
I ended up sealing the working (but leaking) OD solenoid with liquid rubber product from auto parts store, and reinstalled it with new o-rings.
The "budget" solenoid I bought off eBay for $65 was returned to the seller for a full refund, no hassles.
Fixed & I'm happy guy.

Just get rid of it get one of the bypass kits from ipd.
