Hi,

Trying to figure which size universal joints I need on the drive shaft on my 1990 740 Turbo Sedan 4 Speed Overdrive - universal joints..?

I would like to replace all three - not sure what sizes..?

    Don't remember the size, but when I did mine I got three at fcpeuro.com and the fit perfectly and were pretty cheap.

    I think this one is yours if you have 3 u joints:

    And it shows the part number as 1220998

    This is the site I used when ordering driveshaft parts and it was correct.

      Thank you this is very helpful.

      I took a look under the car and it has one of the rubber flex U-joints at the front of the shaft. So it looks like it has to be this assembly.

        Hi, glad I could help.

        That is the same setup as I have. So only 2 u joints.

        I bought these from fcp

        Only put maybe 2k miles on them but seem fine for now, fcp guy said he hasn't heard of any complaints about the meyle ones. Not sure if anyone else has experience with the meyle u joints.
