Radio Suppression relay - wire sizes 700 1990

Below is a image of the end of the radio suppression relay. The two top wires are larger in size.

Dave Barton offers two sizes he calls fat wires ..
Fat Yellow/Blue: 2.0 mm² (metric), which is comparable to approximately AWG 14.
Fat Red: A fatter red wire is also available in 2.5 mm² (metric), which is comparable to approximately 13 AWG

So one is 13 AWG, the other is 14 AWG.

Does it matter which I use for the bigger wires, or can I use either or both?

Thanks.

Wires that have larger copper in them can carry current better.

Manufacturers size the wires to do the job, by cost, can they be run to where they are needed, and can they attach them where needed.

Fuses are sized to protect the wires - larger wires also offer more safety.

I would just use one size. Probably the 13 just because it is bigger. But the ratings are so close I really don't think it matters.
