Accessory Bushing Question :) 200 1987

Hello all, I have a 1987 244. Does anyone know if the A/C compressor has bushings like the power steering and the Alternator? I was looking at the belts the other day and noticed the compressor does not seem to be setting square. All I could think, was that the bushings were shot, but no one lists the A/C compressor as having any bushings....

Thanks

Scott in Dallas

You need a total of 7 for the power steering pump / a/c compressor mount.

If you decided to do the alternator as well that would be an additional 3 for a grand total of 10.

I currently have both mounts, so I just counted them just to maker sure.

Go with Poly and you'll never, ever have to do this again.

Enjoy,

Matt

Hi Matt, thanks for going through the trouble to count them up for me :) Assuming they are all the same? I see two different part numbers listed for some reason

Thanks

Scott

My guess is factory, or running change, there was a different compound at some point. The bushings themselves are the same when you replace them.

they are all the same, honest. I've two cars and either IPD or FCP carries them. I can't remember which one, but they only sell one size.

Items #3 and/or #4 in this parts breakdown:

http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=244049&ukey_make=865&ukey_model=20455&modelYear=1987&ukey_category=7876&ukey_driveLine=394&ukey_trimLevel=27047

Count 'em carefully so you get enough of 'em. (Not sure what the difference is between #3 and #4.)
